International Graduate Application and Admission
- Admission to graduate is a two-step process. Each program has its own departmental review process, which often includes a supplemental program application. Supplemental application materials are due by the same deadline as the university application. Some programs may also require specific admission/entrance exams (e.g., GRE, GMAT, etc.).
- We continue to require a foreign credential evaluation report. To satisfy this requirement, international graduate applicants may submit their non-US academic records/transcripts to the International Education Research Foundation (IERF) or World Education Services (WES) for advisory academic evaluation.

Can I apply to more than one department at the same time for different majors?
Yes you can apply to more than one department at the same time. However, each department has its own specific criteria that needs to be fulfilled before applying to them. If you satisfy that criteria, you can apply to them.
How long do I need to wait to hear for a decision from the university?
The University has many colleges and various sub-departments. Each department has its own application reviewing team which throws a decision for each application they receive, thus it takes approximately 4-5 weeks to hear back.
I am confused to decide on a major, what should I do?
The alumni as well as the current students and professors, especially the graduate advisors can help you in deciding your major.You can contact them through our website here and gain information.
Does the university charge for getting the I-20 couriered?
Though not all the Universities charge for getting the I-20 delivered, however CSULA does charge $65 fee for getting the I-20 couriered to the international students.
How to apply for on-campus jobs at CSULA?
Honestly, it's difficult to get an on-campus job in your very first semester itself. However there are various departments and centers that offer student assistantships and various other student jobs. You can apply through 'Handshake' portal too.
